Situated on two of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Mahé, overlooking the marine national park of Port Launay, Constance Ephélia Resort enjoys a unique location set within very large grounds. The resort has been carefully integrated into the surrounding lush vegetation, as well as the mangrove forest, which has been carefully preserved due to its importance to the marine ecosystem. There are superb snorkelling opportunities along the resort’s beaches, one on the northern side of the headland, and one to the south.

Location

Ephélia overlooks the national marine park of Port Launay, in the northwest of the island. The scenic car journey from the airport takes 40 minutes.

The restaurants range from the buffet style Corossol serving international cuisine to Helios on the south beach which offers tapas, mezze and antipasti delights. The Adam & Eve Ethnic Grill (à la carte menu) and the Seselwa offer relaxed and casual meals. For a stylish alternative, try Cyann which combines French culinary techniques with the lightness and flavour of Asian cuisine.

Each restaurant has a bar with a creative range of cocktails and live music come sundown. The main bar is the liveliest whilst Cyann is the most elegant with an outdoor deck on which to marvel at the sunsets.

The Spa Villas feature a large hot tub, a steam shower, a laconarium (sauna/hammam), dedicated double treatment room for customised massages, outside gazebo area, living area and small library, small wine cooler, mini bar, tea & coffee making facilities.

The Presidential villa has its own gym, a private spa, private swimming pool, deck and outdoor dining pavilion.

The Ephélia Trail

The Trail evokes the legend of the lovely Ephélia, weaving is way along three small isolated beaches and along the scenic hillside until it reaches extraordinary geological formations that are unique to this part of the island. You come across what appears to be a set of “manmade steps” in the rock face although they are completely natural formations. These “steps” are well known to the local people particularly the fishermen in the village of Port Launay.

This champagne treat, taken on your terrace, is accompanied by fresh fruit skewers and chocolate sauce!

Lover’s Wine Dinner
