Discover the Seychelles

The Seychelles' 115 islands fall under two distinct groups: the tall granite, Inner Islands and the low-lying coralline cays, atolls and reef islands of the Outer Islands.  They represent an archipelago of legendary beauty that extends just south of the equator and lies between 480km and 1,600km from the east coast of Africa.

Seychelles’ enviable climate is always warm and without extremes. The temperature seldom drops below 24°C or rises above 32°C. All but the remotest southern islands lie comfortably outside the cyclone belt making Seychelles’ a year round destination.

The Seychelles is acknowledged as one of the world’s most precious biodiversity hotspots, acting as a sanctuary for some of the rarest species of flora and fauna on earth. With almost 50% of its landmass set aside as National Parks and Reserves, Seychelles prides itself on its record for far sighted conservation policies that have resulted in a high degree of protection for the environment and the varied ecosystems it supports. It is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites; The Aldabra Atoll and Vallée de Mai on Praslin.

The islands remain untouched and unspoiled by mass tourism: there are no large scale all-inclusive resorts or UK charter flights, the government maintains a cap on tourist numbers, ensuring that the Seychelles maintains its reputation as a high quality, exclusive destination.
